Grovenburg United Methodist Church Windows

Early in 2021, the HDHS learned that the former Grovenburg United Methodist Church building was slated for demolition. We immediately took action to determine what could be salvaged from the historic structure. A priority was saving the eight stained glass windows.

Working in tandem with Delhi Charter Township, we were able to secure the professional removal of the windows in July 2021. The windows were assessed for condition, crated, and placed in storage. They have been donated to the Holt-Delhi Historical Society for proper dispersal and as a means of fundraising. All funds raised from the sale of the church windows will go directly back into the Holt community with the development of the Kahres Dairy Farm Museum. One window will be retained in the HDHS collection and incorporated into a future museum.

Please click the button below for our informational packet containing further information, including history, size, appraised value, and our asking price, of each window. Prices fall in the range of $1,000 to $2,000 and fair offers will be considered. Please email us at [email protected] with any questions or for additional information. Please peruse the photo gallery below of each of the eight windows taken before removal from the church.
